TRANSPORT: The following are the vehicles issued to each department:%R%R-- MaxTac --%RAerodyne gunships for air support.%RArmored and armed HumVees for ground transportation.%R%R-Collections --%RArmored (but unarmed) HumVees for ground transportation. %ROccasional helicopter use for immediate response situations.%R%R--Color Scheme -- %RBlack with the MetSec insignia in sunburst on the sides. Lights consist of alternating red, white, and blue strobes for Collections. MaxTac typically does not use such lighting, preferring instead to notify people of their presence with either tracer fire or strobed klieg lights.%R

POLICY(#4886): ORDER 47: Order 47 is directive that gives certain MetSec divisions broad authority to combat the paranormal menace. In short, Order 47 gives MetSec the authority to retire proven paranormal entities, that have been shown to be a danger to humanity. ONLY IR and Max-Tac may initiate Order 47 operations, although Collections personnel may be called in for assistance.%r%rCONDUCT: All MetSec personnel will conduct themselves professionally and politely at all times. Failure to do so can be fatal to one's career.%r%rDIVISION OF DUTIES: Collections personnel handle traditional police functions. IR personnel handle paranormal, intelligence, and internal affairs operations. Special tactical situations are the domain of Max-Tac.

DEPARTMENTS: %R-- Collections --%RThis division handles normal 'police' functions for green (paid) clients. Collections patrol officers patrol designed MetSec contracted areas, and Collections Detectives perform traditional police investigative functions, although they do inform IR of homicide investigations. Collections personnel also collect information retrieval charges from detained individuals or their next of kin.%R%R-- Information Retrieval --%R IR personnel handle intelligence, internal affairs, and paranormal investigations and operations.%R%R-- Field Service --%RFS personnel conduct covert information gathering and other covert operations for IR. Their individual identities are confidential even within some departments of MetSec.%R%R-- Directors --%RThe Board of Directors have broad authority over MetSec, and organize and initiate operations and contracts for MetSec, as well as managing MetSec's myriad other business affairs.%R

PATROL_AREAS(#4084): Patrol areas (areas MetSec is contracted to patrol or respond to) consist of the following:%r%r- LATMA Corporate Center%r%to Casal Tower%r%to Geneway Tower%r%to The Technophile%r%to Behren-Bella Media Building%r%to Jezebelle's%r%to Casino d'Italia%r- Villa Park (answer all residential 911s), including: %r%to Celtic Arms Apartments%r- Palos Verdes (answer all residential 911s and calls from Lunada Bay; Langsferd Park is NOT patrolled or responded to), including:%r%to The Overlook Club%r- Downtown, including: %r%to The Acanthus Centre for the Arts%r%to The Cielago Holding Corporation Complex%r%to The Museum of Ancient History%r%to The Galleria (including No More Secrets)%r%to Deus Ex Machina%r%to Embassy Towers%r- LA Harbor south of the Freeway, including: %r%to Bathory Enterprises%r%to LATMA Plasma Services%r%to LA Harbor Autobody Shop%r%to Kalinin Prospekt%r- Forest Lawn, including:%r%to Martin's Antiquities%r- Pasadena, including: %r%to Victory Apartments%r%to The Shinda Sakana%r%to The Gaia's Coffin Foundation%r%to The Lhasa%r%to LATMA Transport & Towing%r- All Tube Stations%r%rAny other locations are considered out of patrol and/or response bounds unless in pursuit of a suspect and calls for backup may not be responded to unless the officer placing the call was dispatched there on official business and aforementioned business is indeed being paid for. While off-duty personnel are not specifically restricted from entering dark areas, if they or MetSec issued equipment is in anyway damaged in such forays, the Directors will be Annoyed.

RANKS(#4886): Ranks are dependant on department. A breakdown is as follows:%r%rCollections: Officer/Detective, Sergeant/Detective Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain.%r%rField Service: Agents, Special Agents. A special agent is the equivalent of a Collections Lieutenant or an IR Sergeant.%r%rMaxTac troops have special consideration and take orders only from Information Retrieval or MaxTac itself. Their ranks are equivalent to Collections.%r%rInformation Retrieval: Inspector (equivalent to a Collections Sergeant). Further ranks, though called the same as in Collections, in fact rank a grade higher. The IR Captain, for example, can rank anyone but a Director.%r%rDirectors have full authority anywhere at any time.

IMPLANT(#4886): All MetSec personnel are tagged with a minor implant that interfaces with circuitry in both their issued weapons and badges, enabling the sub-vocal transmission and reception of messages, the location of the badge at all times, and the weapon self-destruct systems.

WEAPONS(#4886): Standard issue for a Collections Officer is a Tempest Northwind machine pistol, equipped with laser targeting and a stock smartgun interface. It is also equipped with a personal lock that reads both the palm heat signature and coded information from the user's implant, and detonates if used by an unauthorised person.%r In addition, a KPS Hand Flamer is available on request to Collections Officers, similarly equipped with destruct mechanism.%r%rOther departments use a wider range of weapons, from Max-Tac with Tempest Chain Guns and CC-12 light 20mm's, to Field Service with street level handguns.

CHANNEL(#4886): There is an OOC chat channel for police officers, called 'MetSec'. All IC chat should be on the badgecom system

SALARY(#4886): Salary ranks are as follows:%r%tCollections: 28,000/year starting%r%tInformation Retrieval: 29,000 starting%r%tField Service: 30,000 starting%r%tMax-Tac: 31,000 starting%rSalary raises are per promotions, at a rate of 2000/year per level promoted.
