The quiet burrower, Scarab builds and destroys with relentless patience. Symbol of the ancient pharaoahs, Scarab is equally honored by Striders for her tenacity and timelessness.
System
Scarab grants her followers Enigmas 2 and decreases by one their difficulties to breach the Gauntlet. Additionally, Scarab can impart Pharaoh's Majesty: Once per story a Strider can invoke Scarab and be treated as though he has Pure Breed 5. Finally, Scarab teaches victory through patience: Followers of Scarab who spend Willpower while making extended rolls may add two successes rather than one, but only if they spend the Willpower on the second or later turn of the roll in question.
Followers of Scarab must help defend a threatened caern, no matter what the odds. They must also seek to improve the reputation of the Silent Striders, usually by example.
