The Arcanum (on Dark Metal) is a loose affiliation of psychics and sorcerers who search for information on both their own kind and the powers they possess, and on other supernatural creatures. Their desire for knowledge is - at least as an organizational ethic - one of observation and interest, but not action. They are known to evict members who use the information they possess in ways which could draw negative attention to the organization, but can be useful to those seeking to develop their own abilities.
